Claire Dwyer, Associate Director, Investment Trusts
Claire Dwyer joined the Investment Trusts team at Fidelity in 2018 from our UK Personal Investing business where she led investment proposition. Prior to this she worked at Cambridge Associates and Mondrian Investment Partners. She has a special interest in alternative investments and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.
Tom Evans, Senior Manager
Tom Evans joined the Investment Companies team in 2015 where he is the SME on Investment Companies. He joined from the RFP Consultant Database team where he acted as a central support function for the Institutional and Retail channels. Prior to Fidelity Tom worked in equity research roles at Quilter Cheviot IM and Blackrock IM. He is a Chartered Member of the Institute for Securities & Investment with 20 years’ experience in the fund management industry with broad experience in asset management, research, product development and investor relations.
Smita Amin, Company Secretary
Smita Amin joined Fidelity as a Fund Accountant in July 2004 working on the Fidelity managed investment companies. She transferred to the Company Secretariat team in March 2013 as an Assistant Company Secretary and became a Company Secretary in June 2015. Prior to joining Fidelity, she worked in various roles in the financial services sector.
Chantal Dellaway - Investment Companies Administration
Chantal manages the day-to-day administration for our investment companies, as well as supporting the wider Team. She joined Fidelity in 2005 and has held various board level PA roles within the UK Business including Personal Investments, Institutional, and Business Strategy & Oversight. Chantal has worked as a professional PA in the financial services sector for over 20 years.
Claire Dwyer, Head of Investment Companies
Claire Dwyer was appointed Head of Investment Companies at Fidelity International in November 2022. Prior to this she led the firm’s regulatory operations across Continental Europe, the UK and Asia Pacific. In 2020 she was named Rising Star of the Year at the Investment Company of the Year Awards. Since graduating from Oxford in 2007 Claire has worked in a variety of roles in equity research, product development, regulation and distribution. She sits on the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) Examination Panel for Investment Management, is Treasurer and a Management Committee member of NextGen Pensions, as well as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. She was recently profiled in Amanda Taylor’s book “Inspirational Investing - What matters in the world of investing” published by Harriman House.
Daniel Summerland, Director
Daniel Summerland joined the Investment Companies team in 2021 where he is responsible for product development and managing various Board relationships. He started at Fidelity in 2020 in Investment Risk overseeing the UK fund range. Prior to that, Dan worked at the FCA where he led the Fund Supervision team. He started his career in 2011 at Credit Suisse where he worked on a fund structuring desk. He studied Business Management at the University of Surrey and is a CFA charterholder.
Christopher Sserunjogi, Assistant Company Secretary
Christopher Sserunjogi is a Chartered Governance Professional. Chris joined the Investment Companies Company Secretariat team in 2022. He is responsible for providing support to the lead Company Secretaries across Fidelity’s Investment Companies range. Prior to this, Chris worked for various professional services firms for several years.
George Bayer, Head of Company Secretariat, Investment Companies
George joined the Investment Companies team in August 2023 and is responsible for managing the company secretarial service provided to the investment companies. Prior to joining Fidelity International, he held senior governance-focused roles at M&G plc. George has over 15 years’ experience working with regulated and listed financial services companies and investment companies. His experience includes: meeting listed company requirements; providing governance advice and company secretarial support to regulated boards and committees; and managing and mentoring company secretarial and board support colleagues. He studied Management Sciences at the University of Warwick and is an Associate of Corporate Governance Institute.
Dominic Newman, Associate Director, Investment Companies
Dominic Newman joined the Investment Companies team in 2023 where he is responsible for leading distribution and sales activities for the companies. Dominic joined Fidelity in 2017 and his background is in advising high net worth private clients. Dominic was the founding adviser for Fidelity Wealth’s Advice Business which launched in 2019, helping to establish it into a key strategic business for Fidelity. His background with retail clients is invaluable when focusing on the growing retail segment of the company’s shareholder registers. Dominic studied Financial Economics at Swansea University and is a Chartered Wealth Manager.
